Bessaliea Griffin, DPM
Dr. Bessaliea Griffin, leading FootPrint Podiatry in Smithfield, NC, is a proud North Carolina native dedicated to improving the foot and ankle health of her community. She earned her undergraduate degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University before pursuing her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland. Following medical school, she completed an intensive three-year residency in podiatric medicine and surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, where she received advanced training in both surgical and non-surgical treatment of foot and ankle conditions.
Dr. Griffin is board eligible in Podiatric Surgery through the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. She is also an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the North Carolina Foot and Ankle Society, reflecting her commitment to professional excellence and continuing education.
As the only podiatrist in the Smithfield area, Dr. Griffin goes above and beyond to ensure her patients have access to a comprehensive range of services close to home. She treats patients of all ages, from children to seniors, and provides personalized care tailored to each individual’s needs. What she enjoys most is helping patients receive accurate diagnoses, effective treatment plans, and compassionate support so they can return to comfortable, active lives.
